# Roadmap

> What runs today, what exists in the lab and the order in which the mail service is meant to take shape.

## Order until launch

1. **Infrastructure.** Set up servers, storage, backups and DNS with verified EU providers and test recovery.
2. **Mail flow.** Sending and receiving on production servers, with SPF, DKIM, DMARC and encrypted transport.
3. **Accounts and sign-in.** A second factor with passkeys and one-time codes, recovery codes and app passwords for mail apps.
4. **Encrypted storage.** Compatible mode goes into operation only after an external cryptography review.
5. **Webmail and Domain Autopilot.** More under [Your own domain](https://privymail.eu/en/domains.md).
6. **Sealed folders.** OpenPGP on your device, after an external audit.
7. **Calendar, contacts and payment.**
8. **Reviews and a closed test phase.** External penetration test and data protection impact assessment, followed by a trial with a limited number of participants.
9. **Public launch.**

## What we do not promise

We will name a launch date only once the external reviews have been passed. The order may change if a review requires rework. Anything listed here as planned is not yet available.
