# Email. Made and hosted in Europe.

> A calm inbox under European law. No ads, no tracking, no profiles.

## Built so your mail stays yours.

Four principles privymail.eu is built on.

### Two levels of protection

You choose per folder: Compatible with processing on the server or Sealed with OpenPGP on your device. We explain the differences openly.

### No ads

privymail.eu lives on subscriptions. Advertising and analysing your mail are not part of the business model.

### European law

The operator is patchletter UG in Germany. For email, calendar and contacts we only use providers under European control.

### Open source

Webmail, encryption and key processing are released under free licenses.

### Transparency

What runs on this website is recorded in a signed inventory. We report openly on requests from authorities.

## An address people remember.

Your own address. Or your own domain.

Domain Autopilot sets up MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MTA-STS and keeps watching them. The field shows what your address looks like.

## Secure without settings.

Two layers of protection apply to every account. You add two more when you need them.

- **In transit** (Always on): TLS 1.3 preferred; DANE and MTA-STS checked when sending.
- **At rest** (Always on): Encryption with a separate key for each account.
- **Sign-in** (Optional): Passkeys and a second factor. No SMS.
- **Zero access** (Optional): Sealed folders using OpenPGP on your device.

## Questions

### Can I keep my current address?

Your existing mail moves over IMAP, and your own domain moves with you. An address with another provider remains there; whether it forwards depends on that provider's features.

### Do you read my email?

We do not analyse your mail and show no ads. In Compatible mode the server processes mail in plain text temporarily, for example for spam checks, and stores it encrypted. In Sealed folders your device encrypts; we cannot read that content. The security page explains the technical limits.

### Can I use my own domain?

Yes, from the Pro plan. Domain Autopilot generates the right DNS records and keeps checking them.

### What happens when authorities ask for data?

We review every request legally and hand over only what we are obliged to. We inform the people affected where that is permitted. We cannot hand over the content of Sealed folders because we cannot read it.

### Is a VPN included?

A VPN service is planned for December 2026 and included in every plan: in Free with one connection, three countries and at most 10 Mbit/s, in the paid plans with more countries, up to five devices and at most 1 Gbit/s.

## Mail that answers to European law.
