What we stand for
We want Europe to run its own communication infrastructure, openly and verifiably. That is why privymail.eu, our service for email, calendar and contacts, speaks open standards and documents where it comes from instead of merely claiming it.
Our principle: data we do not hold can be neither lost nor handed over by us.
What you can hold us to
- Security and privacy first. They are our first rule and take precedence in every conflict of goals. How we work ourselves is described under Security.
- No advertising, no tracking, no profiles. Our business model is the subscription, not advertising. The free plan also comes without ads and without analysing your data.
- Open standards. Your mail apps work without additional software, and you can leave with all your data at any time. More under Mail apps and open standards.
- Evidence instead of assurances. What we operate, we publish signed and with its observation time under Transparency.
- Open about limits. We say what our servers could technically see instead of promising protection that a mode does not provide. Details are under Security.
- No mandatory phone number. Sign-in uses passkeys and one-time codes, not SMS.
Who is behind it
